JOYCE JONES brings eighteen years of a career
in the import/export business as an owner of Summerour
Lamps in Charlotte, NC, where she designed a successful
wholesale and retail lamp and accessory line. She
traveled extensively in England, Europe and the Orient
sourcing exquisite antique treasures for her reproductions.

BROOKS MIXON coordinates all the packing,
shipping and delivering. His fluency in French has
only been enhanced by his lengthy stays in France
while collecting, wrapping and packing our containers.
He completed the intensive Appraisal Studios in Fine
and Decorative Arts from NYU, and he has completed
appraisals for The Duke Mansion in Charlotte,
NC, Wake Forest University, and The Governor's
Mansion in Raleigh.

Antiques Abroad is thrilled to announce a new partner on
board ROBERT E. JONES - Robert has been in the background
with Antiques Abroad since its conception, lending his business
expertise. Some of you may have met him, as he has been on
several trips. Now he will play a more active role on our
trips, in our marketing as well as our full service door-to-door shipping.
Robert was a Hankins scholar at Wake Forest University and has
had a successful business career in sales and financial planning.
His two daughters, Sara & Alice are at Catawba College and UNC
Wilmington respectively. His enthusiasm and excitement in joining
Antiques Abroad is most welcomed by Joyce Jones and Brooks Mixon.
Robert is also the husband of our founder, Joyce Jones
JAMES PODGER (England), a former fine art valuer
with Phillip's Fine Art Auctioneers of New
Bond Street, is presently the owner of Great Grooms
Antique Center in Billinghurst and Hungerford,
as well as Hampshire's fine Art & Antiques
of Dorking. James obtained his formal training and
accreditation as an appraiser at Phillip's, New Bond
Street. he is an antique consultant for many reputable
antique dealers and collectors in the international
marketplace.
PHILLIPPE METHIAZ (France) is a renowned antique
consultant who has twenty years' involvement in the
French antique industry. he is a member of the prestigious
Syndication of Antique Dealers and Experts of France
(SNCAO). His expert knowledge of French antiques and
background in art history and architecture serve him
well as he spends each day with our trip participants
in their search for antiques.
MONICA SIGNANI (Italy) is a former antique
shop owner in Florence who has studied the history
of Italian art, architecture and antiques extensively
and is presently continuing these studies with one
of the most notable experts in the field in Italy.
She is very well connected in the Italian antique
market and is a notable designer in her own right
- her design work has been featured in Elle Decor.
